PCTG belongs to the same polyester family as the increasingly popular PET-G. Compared to its more popular counterpart, PCTG offers increased impact toughness, temperature durability and cleanliness, making it an excellent alternative to PET-G. This fiber does not require a heated chamber, so it is ideal for use with home printers. It ensures high dimensional stability and low shrinkage prevents cracking of the model. This makes the material easy to print even for people without much experience with 3D printing.
PCTG is characterized by much higher impact strength compared to similar materials (egpet-G). In the IZOD test (notch sample), the results of 90 kJ / m2 (PET-G: 5-8 kJ / m2) achieve the results in the area of 90 kJ / m2. PCTG also resists higher temperatures (up to 76 ° C).
